Woman dies in crash involving lorry in Ulu Yam


PETALING JAYA: A senior citizen was killed after a lorry crashed into her car in Hulu Selangor, according to the Selangor Fire and Rescue Department.

Its assistant director, Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar, said the accident in Jalan Sungai Tua, Ulu Yam, also caused the lorry driver and a 13-year-old girl to be injured.

The girl is related to the 65-year-old deceased.

"The woman was stuck in the driver's side of her vehicle and pronounced dead by Health Ministry officers.

"The victim's body was extracted at around 12.30pm by firefighters and has been handed over to the police for further action," Ahmad Mukhlis said on Thursday (Nov 9).
