Selangor civil servants to get 2.5 months' bonus

SHAH ALAM: More than 20,000 civil servants in Selangor will receive two-and-a-half months' salary incentive, which will be paid in stages.

State Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari said the first phase of the Special Financial Assistance, amounting to one month's salary or a minimum of RM1,000 was disbursed in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidilfitri earlier this year.

"The second payment of one month's salary or a minimum of RM1,000, involving a financial implication of RM40.03mil, will be disbursed on Dec 28.

"The remaining half-month's salary payment or a minimum of RM1,000 will be paid on February 2024 before the new school session, which is expected to commence in March," he said when tabling the 2024 Selangor Budget here on Friday (Nov 10).

Amirudin said the bonus is paid to all Selangor state administration employees, including federally-funded government service members. – Bernama
