PETALING JAYA: The police have recorded the statement of Kepala Batas MP Siti Mastura Muhammad (pic), says Bukit Aman.
"The case is currently under investigation and the people are advised not to speculate on the matter," Bukit Aman CID director Comm Datuk Seri Mohd Shuhaily Mohd Zain said in a statement on Tuesday (Nov 14).
He added that investigations were being conducted under Section 505(b) of the Penal Code for making statements with intent to cause fear or alarm to the public and Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 (improper use of network facilities).
Siti was summoned by the police to give her statement over claims that DAP chairman Lim Guan Eng has family ties with Chin Peng, the former Malayan Communist Party leader.
