RUMAH Bonda founder Siti Bainun Ahd Razali, who was sentenced to 12 years’ imprisonment for neglecting and abusing a Down Syndrome teenager named Bella, has lost 60kg in the span of six months, Harian Metro reported.
Siti Bainun, 31, currently weighs 90kg after weighing over 150kg on May 3 when she was sentenced.
Her weight loss caught the public’s attention when she attended her appeal hearing at the Kuala Lumpur High Court.
When asked if she was doing well, Siti Bainun only smiled and nodded her head.
On May 3, the Sessions Court sentenced Siti Bainun to 10 years’ jail for negligence and 12 years for abuse, with both sentences to run concurrently from the date of sentencing.
On May 23, the High Court here dismissed an application by Siti Bainun to stay her 12-year jail sentence pending her appeal with the High Court and is currently serving her jail time.
