Man suffers burns on hand, feet due to blaze in Kota Marudu home


KOTA KINABALU: A man suffered from burns on his hand and feet after a fire broke out at a house in Kota Marudu village on Thursday night (Nov 16).

However, no further details of the victim – who was sent to the hospital for further treatment - were available at press time.

According to the Kota Marudu Fire and Rescue Department, they received the report at 8.18pm regarding the incident at Kampung Wani Tagaroh, Jalan Pinatau there.

"The fire destroyed 90% of the house, and there was a victim who suffered burns. The firefighting team has sent him to the hospital to be treated," said a Department spokesman.
