Duo on motorbike smash car window, snatches bag in Gombak


GOMBAK: Two men on a motorcycle smashed the passenger's side window of a car before snatching the victim's sling bag at Desa Jaya.

Acting Gombak OCPD Supt Noor Ariffin Mohamad Nasir said the 25-year-old female victim was driving to work when the two assailants approached her car on Jalan Desa 5 on Nov 14.

"The pillion rider broke the passenger's side window before snatching the bag and speeding off.

"The victim did not sustain any injury. We are investigating the case under Section 395 of the Penal Code for gang robbery," he said when contacted on Saturday (Nov 18).

The police are in the midst of tracking down the suspects, he added.

"We urge those with information on the incident to contact investigating officer Insp Nik Nor Aqeela Nik Abdullah at 019- 9260203 or Gombak police headquarters at 03-61262222 or any nearest police station.
