Cops investigating sexual harassment allegation against govt agency head

KUALA LUMPUR: Bukit Aman have opened an investigation into a sexual harassment allegation against a government agency's head.

It is learnt that a financial consultant in her 30s lodged a police report last week alleging that the suspect has been harassing her via WhatsApp.

The woman had initially approached the suspect over a prospective investment opportunity before the harassment allegedly occurred.

Bukit Aman CID director Comm Datuk Seri Mohd Shuhaily Mohd Zain said the department's Special Investigation Unit (USJT) is investigating the matter.

"The case is still ongoing. We will call up those involved to record their statements," he said when contacted on Monday (Nov 21).

A photo of the police report supposedly lodged by the woman has gone viral on social media.
