The Inspector-General of Police said the senior officer will have his statement recorded at Putrajaya police headquarters at about 2.30pm.

"His statement will be recorded by the Bukit Aman CID Special Investigation Unit.

"The investigation is still ongoing," he said when contacted on Wednesday (Nov 22).

So far, only the statement of the complainant has been recorded, the IGP added.

It is learnt that a financial consultant in her 30s, who lodged a police report last week, alleged that the suspect had been harassing her via WhatsApp.

The woman initially approached the suspect over a prospective investment opportunity in November last year before the harassment allegedly occurred.

She also claimed that the suspect had asked her to go to hotels and karaoke centres a few times but she turned him down.

She claimed that his advances had become bolder since August when he sent her several indecent photos via text message.

A photo of the police report supposedly lodged by the woman went viral on social media.
