Ahmad Zahid's health improving, returning to work soon, says Anwar


PUTRAJAYA: Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi’s health is improving, and he will return to work soon, said the Prime Minister.

“I want to convey Zahid's greetings to all of you. Alhamdulillah, he is getting better.

“He wanted to come, but I told him not to attend because he needs some time to rest before resuming work and continuing the efforts and programmes of the ministry,” he said when launching the 2023 Karnival Usahawan Desa @Putrajaya at Anjung Floria, here on Saturday (Nov 25).

According to Anwar, he had visited Ahmad Zahid earlier in the morning before going to the carnival.

On Thursday (Nov 23), Ahmad Zahid who is also the Rural and Regional Development Minister uploaded a post on his Facebook saying that he was resting after completing a surgical procedure on Nov 16.

On Saturday, Ahmad Zahid posted a photo of himself with Anwar, saying he was grateful to Anwar for visiting him.

Ahmad Zahid also wrote that he could not wait to get back to work and looking forward to fulfil his duties to the country.
