Danger-level continuous heavy rain warning in K'tan, T'ganu until Nov 27


KUALA LUMPUR: Danger-level continuous heavy rain has been forecast in several areas in Kelantan and Terengganu until Monday (Nov 27).

The Malaysian Meteorological Department (METMalaysia), in a statement Saturday (Nov 25), said the areas affected in Kelantan are Tumpat, Pasir Mas, Kota Bharu, Jeli, Tanah Merah, Bachok, Machang, Pasir Puteh and Kuala Krai.

In Terengganu, meanwhile, Besut, Setiu, Kuala Nerus, Kuala Terengganu and Marang are affected, the statement read.

METMalaysia also forecast severe-level continuous heavy rain during the same period in Perak (Hulu Perak), Kelantan (Gua Musang) and Terengganu (Hulu Terengganu, Dungun and Kemaman).

Alert level continuous rain is also forecast in Perlis, Kedah, Penang, the districts of Kerian; Larut, Matang and Selama; Manjung and Kuala Kangsar in Perak, as well as Jerantut and Kuantan in Pahang until Nov 27. - Bernama
