Johoreans celebrate diversity of cultures, religions in camaraderie, says Dr Wee


JOHOR BARU: The diversity of cultures and religions is celebrated joyously by all Johoreans, full of the spirit of camaraderie and harmony, says Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong.

The MCA president, who is also Johor MCA liaison committee chairman, said this in a Facebook post Saturday (Nov 25) after attending the state Deepavali celebration here.

“Thank you to the host, MIC Youth chief K. Raven Kumar, who is also a state exco representative, for inviting me to attend this very meaningful event,” the Ayer Hitam MP said in his Facebook post.

The celebratory event was launched by Johor Mentri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi.

Dr Wee also said that others in attendance included Johor Deputy Speaker Datuk Samsolbari Jamali, Simpang Renggam MP Datuk Seri Hasni Mohammad, Johor MCA deputy chairman Ling Tian Soon, MIC vice-president Datuk M. Asojan, MCA treasurer-general Tan Tuan Peng and Sultanah Rogayah Foundation chairman Datuk Sugumaran Raman, among many others.
