PUTRAJAYA: PKR is a party that encourages its leaders to learn from one another and differences in opinion are celebrated, so that every leader can improve themselves along the way, says party youth chief Adam Adli.
Adam also said that leaders should learn from one another and avoid being arrogant.
“Some of us might have more experience than others, let’s learn together. Don’t be arrogant and avoid fierce competition.
“Differences in opinion and stances is healthy in this party and we will not stop that,” said Adam during his winding up speech at the PKR Youth national congress at Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC), in Putrajaya on Saturday (Nov 25).
“But, we must be united in moving ahead together and carrying out our responsibilities,” added Adam.
Adam said that PKR leaders were mostly clad in white during the event and it is a sign of unity.
“Some of us may have differences and we may argue. That is certain, because we are politicians, it is our nature.
“But, we remain in consensus and we understand the friendship between us,” said Adam.
Adam said next year will be a year to improve PKR Youth and everyone, even himself.
Meanwhile, Adam said the newly launched Akademi Keadilan Rakyat (Akar) was an initiative to ensure adequate training for all party members in order to create quality party members.
“Cooperate at the branch and state level. Make Akar as a main platform for us to nurture our talents,” said Adam.
The PKR Youth and Wanita wings concluded its meeting on Saturday (Nov 25) evening and the party began its central national congress later that evening.
PKR secretary-general Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail will give a speech later, followed by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim delivering his officiating speech as party president.
The PKR National Congress will carry on with debates until Sunday (Nov 26) evening.
