MCA president invites activist Lee Chin Yen to join party’s crisis relief squad

PETALING JAYA: Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong invited youth activist Dr Lee Chin Yen to join MCA’s humanitarian response team during a serendipitous encounter.

In a Facebook post on Sunday (Nov 26), the MCA president recounted how he met a member of the Pahang Youth Council and asked him to join the party and help people during disasters.

“I invited Dr Lee to become actively involved in MCA as his service would be most welcomed in the volunteer work done through the MCA Crisis Relief Squad (CRSM),” said Dr Wee.

He then lauded Dr Lee’s credentials as a holder of a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS), a degree from Monash University and a Master of Wound Healing degree from the University of Cardiff, UK.

“Dr Lee Chin Yen is also the son of Lee Ah Wong, former assemblyman of Cheka, Lipis, Pahang,” said Dr Wee.

He shared a selfie with Dr Lee. However, Dr Wee did not divulge if his invitation was accepted.
