Bukit Gantang MP is fifth Bersatu rep to declare support for Anwar

KUALA LUMPUR: The Dewan Rakyat erupted when another Perikatan Nasional lawmaker pledged support for Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim on Tuesday (Nov 28).

Datuk Syed Abu Hussin Hafiz Syed Abdul Fasal (PN-Bukit Gantang) said he was ready to offer his expertise to the unity government in alleviating the economic conditions and forming a Madani society.

“I call for Pagoh (Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin) and Bera (Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob) to come together with Tambun (Anwar) to build a Madani society.

“And for the Opposition, let us all negotiate properly with the government just like what had been done by Bera when he was the prime minister.

“I, myself, am ready to offer and help the government build the Madani society and help address the rising cost of living,” he said, surprising MPs from both sides.
