HAMBURG: Some of them may have left Malaysia for Germany more than 50 years ago with few trips back but a chance to meet up with the new ambassador Dr Adina Kamarudin and to mingle with their fellow Malaysians was too good to pass on a rainy Sunday morning.
They also did not want to miss on the Malaysian breakfast prepared by the embassy for Malaysians residing in Hamburg.
The Malaysian embassy team travelled three hours from Berlin to engage with the Malaysian diaspora and discuss issues of concern among Malaysians, including consular matters.
Some of the Malaysians present had been living there for between 20 and 52 years.
During the event, the Embassy promoted the "Malaysian Breakfast Culture" where the iconic breakfast of nasi lemak, roti canai and teh tarik were served.
