Malaysia Airlines' flights to and from Chennai today cancelled


KUALA LUMPUR: A Malaysia Airlines flight scheduled to depart from Kuala Lumpur to Chennai in India has been cancelled due to the closure of Chennai Airport (MAA) due to floods.

In its travel advisory Tuesday (Dec 5), the national airline said flight MH182 scheduled to depart Kuala Lumpur at 9:10am on Dec 5, 2023, to MAA had been cancelled.

"The return leg (via) MH183 will also be cancelled,” it said.

The airport in Chennai has been closed since 9.17am Monday (Dec 4) due to adverse weather.

"Passengers booked on these flights may choose to defer travel until Dec 19, 2023, or request to be rebooked on flights to Bangalore and Hyderabad (subject to availability) or opt for a refund,” the airline said.

For immediate assistance, it requested that passengers contact Malaysia Airlines’ Global Contact Centre at 1 300 88 3000 (within Malaysia) or +603 7843 3000 (outside Malaysia).
