KUALA LUMPUR: The Youth and Sports Ministry has introduced and achieved 22 reforms to drive development in sports in nine months, three months before the unity government's one-year anniversary.

Its Deputy Minister Adam Adli Abd Halim (pic) also said the reforms encompassed four main aspects, namely strengthening the sports ecosystem; cultivating sports; empowering youth; and popularising ministry facilities.

"(For example) the most basic sports hall, or the most important sports complex facility in the country, is the Bukit Jalil National Stadium which used to be more exclusive but is now (widely used) at school level," he said during a guest appearance on RTM's Naratif Khas programme on TV1 on Wednesday (Dec 6).

The broadcast was in conjunction with the "One Year with the Madani Government" programme.
