KUALA LUMPUR: Over 5,000 vacancies will be available at the Career Carnival held in conjunction with the three-day Madani Government One Year Anniversary Programme at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium which kicked off on Friday (Dec 8).

Performance Acceleration Coordination Unit (Pacu) executive director Ahmad Jefry Aziz @ Adan said a total of 63 private companies were taking part in the career carnival, supported by the Social Security Organisation and the Public Service Commission.

Among the participating companies are Affin Group, CIMB, SME Bank, Malaysia Airports, Sime Darby Plantation, Pilot Group, SME Aerospace Sdn Bhd, Senheng, Prolintas Group of Companies and Imperial Lexis Kuala Lumpur.

Ahmad Jefry said that besides job opportunities, the programme also offers various attractive prizes in a daily lucky draw session, including flight tickets to Dubai, United Arab Emirates; Istanbul, Turkiye and other Southeast Asian countries.

"The focus will be on the grand prize offered on Sunday, which is a house. Therefore, we encourage the public to come and take advantage of this opportunity,” he said when appearing as a guest on the Selamat Pagi Malaysia programme produced by RTM today.

In the meantime, Ahmad Jefry said the Madani Government One Year Anniversary Programme not only showcases the initiatives implemented by each ministry but also serve as a platform for the government to engage with the people.

"It means that when people attend, they will understand the essential components being highlighted besides new initiatives and improvements implemented throughout 2023. There will also be explanations about other initiatives for next year,” he said.

The programme, which runs from 9am to 10pm, will focus on three components, namely the achievement showcase, the people’s touchpoint service, and the People’s Well-being Initiatives.
