PETALING JAYA: Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah Azizan, the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) chief executive officer, is tipped to be the next Finance Minister II in the expected Cabinet reshuffle on Tuesday (Dec 12).

Amir Hamzah, who joined EPF in March 2021, is one of several changes to the reshuffle by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, who is also Finance Minister.

Amir was previously Tenaga Nasional Berhad CEO from 2019 to 2021.

He is the son of former Petronas chairman and president, Tun Azizan Zainul Abidin.

Human Resources Minister V. Sivakumar is apparently on his way out, with some quarters saying it is linked to his performance.

The replacement is expected to be another DAP leader.
