Group selling fake MCs busted by cops in Kajang


KAJANG: Police here have busted a group selling fake medical leave certificates with the arrest of six people in raids here and in Bukit Jalil

In a statement on Wednesday (Dec 13), Kajang OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Zaid Hassan said the raids were conducted on Dec 8 and 9 and added that thisled to the arrest of four women and two men aged between 26 and 51.

"All were remanded from Dec 9 to Dec 11 originally, and that has been extended to Dec 13," he said.

Over 200 sick leave certificates were found, along with 19 clinic receipts.

"Investigations showed that the group sold each certificate for around RM30 to RM50 a piece. The suspects had been active since last year and were offering the certificates within the Kajang area," added ACP Mohd Zaid.
