Kota Siputeh rep crashes car into ditch, escapes with minor injuries


KANGAR: Kota Siputeh assemblyman Mohd Ashraf Mustaqim Badrul Munir has met with an accident involving the car he was driving and a lorry on Jalan Padang Chempa, near Arau.

Arau district police chief Supt Abdul Mohsin Md Rodi said Mohd Ashraf only suffered minor injuries to his mouth in the 9:05pm incident on Tuesday (Dec 12).

He said preliminary investigations found that the lorry was parked on the road shoulder and Mohd Ashraf was unable to avoid the vehicle.

Supt Abdul Mohsin said Mohd Ashraf's car hit the rear of the lorry and skidded into a drainage ditch on the left side of the road.

"He suffered minor injuries to his mouth and was treated at a private hospital here, complaining of dizziness," he said in a statement on Wednesday (Dec 13).

He added that the 66-year-old lorry driver did not suffer any injuries. – Bernama
