MELAKA: The government's Central Database System (Padu) will be the key platform for monitoring implementation of the Melaka Maju Jaya Strategic Plan 2035 and Smart Melaka Blueprint 2035 development programmes.
State Secretary Datuk Zaidi Johari said Padu is a database containing the profiles of individuals and households, and can serve as an integrated solution to help the government draw up targeted plans.
"It is... capable of updating the (provision of) government aid in a wider and more comprehensive manner.

"In addition, the system can provide a combination of socio-economic information for every household in the country while channelling detailed data on assistance received by the people,” he said at the Padu Implementation Engagement and Briefing programme here Wednesday (Dec 13).
His speech was read by his deputy Datuk Md Azhan Samat.
He said Padu would also enable the government to identify leakages, improving the implementation of the subsidy system for target groups.
He said the state's extensive digital facilities, especially its wireless hotspots and free broadband service, will allow Padu's implementation in Melaka to be paperless. – Bernama
