Anwar, Dr Wan Azizah attend dinner hosted by Japanese PM, wife


PETALING JAYA: Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and his wife Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail attended a dinner hosted by Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and his wife Yuko on Saturday (Dec 16).

The Prime Minister said, in a post on Facebook, that the dinner was held at the Geihinkan state guesthouse in Tokyo's Akasaka Palace.

"After yesterday's official meeting, Azizah and I attended a dinner hosted by Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and his wife Yuko," Anwar said in the post.

He added that he was accompanied by Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan and Investment, Trade and Industry Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz.

Anwar also said the dinner was an oppoertunity to meet fellow leaders who attended the Asean-Japan Commemorative Summit.

"I pray the relationship betweeen Asean and Japan continues to strengthen in the future," Anwar said.
