Family of Form 5 student killed in road crash calls for evidence to help probe


IPOH: The family of the 17-year-old killed in a road accident are calling for those with evidence that could help an investigation into the fatal crash to come forward.

Speaking at a press conference here on Sunday (Dec 17), the elder brother of Form Five student Muhammad Zaharif Affendi Muhd Zamrie said that such evidence would include dash-cam footage.

"They can contact me personally to present the evidence," said 29-year-old Zarul Fitri Muhd Zamrie.

It was reported that Muhammad Zaharif Affendi died on the spot following the incident at about 12.40pm on Friday (Dec 15) and a post-mortem found that the SMK Jati student died due to chest and abdominal injuries.

A police officer has since been remanded until Monday (Dec 18) to facilitate investigations following the accident, and is said to be a Deputy Superintendent based in Kedah.
