FREQUENT flooding has ravaged SJK (T) Ladang Kirby and the Negri Sembilan government has been urged to step in to save the school.

The school in Labu has been facing the problem for a long time, but recently, the situation was exacerbated by a development nearby which had led to clogging of the drains, said a parent identified as Kaliappan Munusamy.

Whenever it rains heavily, the entire school compound is underwater, and when the flood recedes it leaves behind mud everywhere.

Getting in or out of the school will then become difficult for the pupils, parents and teachers.

“Apart from interrupting classes, the floods also damaged vehicles belonging to teachers.”
