Shah Alam cops probe rape threats, harassment received by teen girl

SHAH ALAM: Police are looking into alleged rape threats and harassment received by a teenage girl.

Shah Alam OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Iqbal Ibrahim said that a report was lodged on Dec 15 by the victim, who is a Form Two student.

"She had allegedly been threatened by another student in her year, and had been beaten by him, leading to injuries to her chest area.

"The complainant was then sent to University Malaya Medical Centre (PPUM) for treatment for the injuries sustained," he said on Monday (Dec 18).

He said the suspect would be called in on Monday for questioning.

ACP Iqbal confirmed that the case was related to a now-viral post on social media where the victim's father had posted about the harassment.
