Varsities must follow Health Ministry's guidelines to prevent Covid-19 resurgence, says Zambry

SHAH ALAM: Higher learning institutions must refer to advisory and guidelines issued by the Health Ministry on preventing another wave of COVID-19, said the Higher Education Minister on Monday (Dec 18).

"I announced a few days ago that any action by the universities must be based on the Health Ministry's guidelines.

"I cannot issue any statement related to health matters," Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir said after the 24th Royal Intervarsity Debating Championship.

He was responding to a query about reverting to online classes following the recent spike in Covid-19 cases. – Bernama
