A ROAD accident victim in Seremban received unexpected help from a state assemblyman, who happened to be a doctor, Malaysia Nanban reported.

The victim, a student, had crashed his motorcycle near the Seremban health clinic.

Sri Tanjung assemblyman Dr Rajasekaran Gunnasekaran was travelling from Port Dickson to Wisma Negri in Seremban when he saw the victim on the road.

He pulled over and attended to the victim who was fortunately not badly injured.

He said a van driver, who had stopped to help, agreed to take the boy to the district hospital for further check-up and treatment.

> A couple in Tamil Nadu, India, did not allow floods inundating their district to put a damper on their baby shower, the daily also reported.

The unnamed couple, with the woman heavily pregnant, had booked a hall for the occasion.

However, the venue was covered in knee-high floodwaters on the day.

Videos showing the couple getting their photos taken while standing on chairs with their friends and relatives cheering them on from the balcony and staircase quickly went viral online.
