KUALA LUMPUR: Victims of a syndicate which sold fake federal titles like Datuk, Datuk Seri and Tan Sri are urged to come forward to help a Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) investigation.
Sources said MACC efforts to track down victims have been ongoing since the syndicate was busted in early December.
It is learnt that the victims were duped by a man who has a high rank in a non-governmental organisation.
"The suspect was investigated but the MACC needs other victims to come forward to assist with the investigation," the source said.

Meanwhile, MACC senior director of investigation Datuk Seri Hishamuddin Hashim said that they have identified seven victims.
"So far, five have come forward to give their statements. We believe there are several victims who have yet to come forward," he said when contacted on Friday (Dec 22).
Those with information on the case are urged to contact investigating officer Muhammad Aiman Jamil at 03-8870 0473 or 017-282 0484.
Earlier this month, an NGO president and five others were nabbed for selling the federal awards.

Sources with knowledge of the investigation said the suspect is believed to have played a key role in the syndicate and determines the price for those interested in obtaining an award.
It is learnt that the syndicate had conned six individuals who wished to get awards without going through the normal procedure and is believed to have been in operation since 2020.
The offers made by the syndicate were RM2mil for a Tan Sri title, RM150,000 for a Datukship, and RM250,000 if you wanted to be a Datuk Seri.
