CYBERJAYA: Out of the 1,091 premises inspected in Selangor under the Festive Season Maximum Price Scheme (SHMMP) this year, only four have been subject to action thus far.
Selangor Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry chief enforcement officer Mohd Khairi Jamaludin said this clearly showed that traders in the state were highly compliant with the regulations set during the Chinese New Year, Hari Raya Puasa and Deepavali celebrations last year.
"The state ministry is confident that traders' adherence to SHMMP for Christmas, in effect from Dec 23 until Dec 27, will result in zero offences," he told reporters after an inspection at a supermarket here on Saturday.
