Nonagenarian dies after crashing car into fast food restaurant in Sibu


SIBU: A 90-year-old man died after crashing his car into a fast food restaurant in Jalan Ling Kai Cheng on Tuesday (Dec 26).

Sibu OCPD, Asst Comm Zulkipli Suhaili said at about 9.15am after refuelling his car, the elderly man drove out of the petrol station and lost control of his car which led to the crash.

"The car rammed into the glass door of a fast food restaurant located next to the petrol station," he said.

Members of the public rushed him to the hospital.

"He passed away at 10.16am at the hospital," he added.
