University student falls from condominium in freak accident


KUALA LUMPUR: An 18-year-old male university student accidentally fell to his death from the 34th floor of a condominium in Kampung Baru, says Dang Wangi OCPD Asst Comm Noor Dellhan Yahaya.

He said that the police received a distress call about the incident at about 8.17pm on Tuesday (Dec 26) and added that it occured on the 34th floor of the 39-floor condominium.

"Two witnesses said that the victim told them that he wanted to grab his T-shirt, which fell onto the balcony," said ACP Noor Dellhan.

"He climbed onto a table before climbing a fence to reach the balcony. However, the victim lost his balance and fell down," he added in a statement on Wednesday (Dec 27).

The victim's body has been sent to Hospital Kuala Lumpur for post-mortem, he said and added that it will be done on Wednesday.
