GEORGE TOWN: Roads here are bustling with people and market-goers are on their usual morning outing despite the water disruption in the state.
Some areas saw more people on Wednesday (Jan 10), with locals heading over to Ayer Itam to get their morning food fix as the area still has water supply.

At the Ayer Itam market, people could be seen buying groceries while eateries were packed.
Retiree Wong BC was seen having breakfast with friends as his area has no water.
The 67-year-old said he decided to drive over as he knew the stalls would be open.
"We have had breakfast and packed for lunch as well," he said.

Checks in the town area saw normal traffic flow as well with the public engaged in their daily routine, prepared for the four-day water cut which began at 6am on Wednesday.
Almost 600,000 consumers will be affected by the water cut scheduled until Sunday (Jan 14).

The supply disruption is meant to allow valve replacement work at the Sungai Dua water treatment plant and repair work at several locations along the main pipeline.
Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow had said the work to replace the two major pipes was challenging and hoped the public would understand the long-term need to do so.
