PETALING JAYA: It is irresponsible of DAP's Beruas MP Datuk Ngeh Koo Ham to link PAS and Bersatu to the arson attack on his house, says Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin.
Hamzah, who was also Bersatu secretary-general, said instead of putting the blame on others, Ngeh should apologise for pointing fingers.
"It must be reminded that matters involving Islam should not be interfered with by anyone who does not have any involvement.

"When there are those who try to meddle, Muslims will rise to defend (the faith) without being incited," he said in a statement on Thursday (Jan 11).
The Larut MP added that all parties should learn a lesson from the incident, to be careful when sharing their opinions especially if it concerns sensitive topics.
Hamzah also condemned the arson incident which he said was wrought by reckless individuals.
The act of throwing a Molotov cocktail at Ngeh's home in Ayer Tawar on Wednesday (Jan 10), causing a fire that damaged three cars, was unacceptable and must be investigated, he added.

"The police must find the (perpetrator) as it is not only against the law, but also violates society's principles," he said.
Earlier in the day, Perikatan Nasional Youth lodged a police report against Ngeh for alleging that PAS and Bersatu fanned the flames behind the incident.
The movement's chief Ahmad Fadhli Shaari said the DAP leader’s remarks were not only disrespectful but also pre-empted the police investigation.
