ACTRESS Yasmin Hani still maintains a good relationship with her ex-husband, Sha’arin Mohamed Razali, 60, despite being divorced, in order to see the children grow up with parental love, just like a normal family, Kosmo! reported.
The daily quoted Yasmin as saying that communication with the musician improved after the divorce.
The daily also reported that the two are in contact almost every day to discuss schooling issues concerning their two sons, who are now under her care.
“Now, it can be said that I chat a lot more with Sha’arin than Alif Hadi (boyfriend)... It is easy to arrange things like picking up and sending the children to school.
“As we did not want the divorce to have an impact on our children, we also made the decision to be more civilised by refraining from using profanity towards one another after ceasing to be husband and wife.
“In fact, I always pray for Sha’arin to be blessed with more sustenance,” she said at the premiere of the drama series Gemersik Berbisik.
The 44-year-old said she will also be joining the children as they celebrate their father’s birthday in Bali, Indonesia, in March.
Sha’arin also has plans to take the children to perform the umrah this year, she added.
“I have never been to the Holy Land; I, too, intend to join them,” she said.
> The Kota Tinggi Fire and Rescue Department received more than 20 distress calls after the area became inundated by floods last Thursday, Sinar Harian reported.
Kota Tinggi Fire Station chief Mohd Shawaluddin Ami Nordin said the calls involved rescuing and moving flood victims who were trapped in houses, parks and around the city.
“Apart from that, the fire department also received special service calls to help catch snakes in flood-affected areas,” he said.
He added that the public appear to ignore safety when playing in dangerous floodwaters.
Mohd Shawaluddin said the department has mobilised its assets and personnel to monitor the situation and advise members of the public of the dangers during the flood season.
