Ipoh City Council to hold lucky draw for assessment tax payers

IPOH: Residents, who have yet to pay their 2024 assessment tax, are urged to do so as soon as possible in order for them to qualify for a lucky draw, says Datuk Rumaizi Baharin.

The Ipoh mayor said the lucky draw would be held in March, with the deadline for folk to settle their assessment tax by Feb 29.

"Only those who paid their assessment for the whole year without arrears will be eligible for the lucky draw.

"Payments can be made over the counter at the Ipoh City Council building, the post office or online banking. The people can also download the mobile app DMBI or visit the city council's web portal to check and make payments," he said at the lucky draw event for the month of December at the city council building here on Friday (Jan 12).

He said the lucky draw is to thank taxpayers who perform their responsibilities yearly.

At the event, 10 winners were picked to win a total cash prize of RM4,500, with the top prize being RM1,000.

They are still in the running to win 30 prizes in the main lucky draw, which included a Perodua Axia, four motorcycles, a 65-inch smart television and digital home furnishings with a total value of RM99,000.
