Man injured after driving car off car park's second floor


SHAH ALAM: A man was injured after he drove his car off the second floor of a car park here.

When contacted, Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar said that the incident occurred at a building in Setia Alam, with the department receiving the distress call at 11.30pm.

"At the scene a car was found, it fell from the second floor of the building. The victim had been saved and brought to the Klang Hospital by members of the public before the firemen arrived,” he said, adding that the man suffered light injuries.

In a statement, Shah Alam OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Iqbal Ibrahim said that the driver, aged 41, had lost control of his car, hitting two more vehicles before crashing through the car park wall.

He added that investigations are underway to determine the exact cause of the accident.
