Dr Wee meets with research fellows from several universities


PETALING JAYA: Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong met up with several research fellows and exchanged views on various issues concerning the people and the nation.

The researchers were from TAR UMT, University of Malaya, Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia and Xiamen University Malaysia.

"They were all experts in different disciplines who are able to offer invaluable input and professional advice to the committee across a wide spectrum of topics," said the MCA president on Facebook on Thursday (Jan 18).

The researchers were Prof Dr Chong Shyue Chuan, Prof Anada Kumar Palaniappan, Assoc Prof Dr Tan Hui Yin, Assoc Prof Dr Lai Siow Li, Dr Normala S. Govindarajo and Dr Grace Lim Chia Yien.

"TAR UMT Board of Governors chairman Tan Sri Chan Kong Choy also joined us for the dinner," said Dr Wee.

"MCA is looking forward to working with them so that we can continue to give constructive feedback on public policies to the government, with hope of improving the lives of Malaysians.

He said appreciation goes to the Public Policy and People's Livelihood Research Advisory Committee, led by its chairman Dr Monna Ong and her deputy Datuk Dr Chin Tung Leong, for organising the meaningful and insightful dinner.
