JB cops nab man found walking around in the nude


JOHOR BARU: The police have arrested a man who was seen walking around a public area here in the nude.

Johor Baru South OCPD Asst Comm Raub Selamat said the 37-year-old man was arrested at 1.38am on Friday (Jan 19).

"We received a report from a 26-year-old woman who saw the man walking naked on Thursday (Jan 18) night.

"A team was deployed to the scene and they arrested the man.

"Early investigations indicate that the man could not accept that his girlfriend left him," he said in a press release on Sunday (Jan 21).

He said the man was not under the influence of alcohol or drugs and did not have a history of mental health issues.

The case is being investigated under Section 509 of the Penal Code for insulting the modesty of a woman.

A video of the nude man walking around the city went viral on social media. It also shows police arriving in a patrol car and arresting the man.
