JOHOR BARU: A mother and her three young children were injured after their car plunged into a ravine here.

Kempas Fire and Rescue Department operations commander Wan Nor Affendi Wan Yusof said the accident, which took place near a petrol station on the Pasir Gudang Highway near Kempas, was reported at 4.28pm on Wednesday (Jan 24).

"The 33-year-old woman was believed to have lost control of the sedan car. The vehicle then plunged into the 7m-deep ravine and turned turtle.

"Besides the driver, there was an 11-year-old girl and two boys aged four and six years old in the car - all of them sustained injuries," he said in a statement.
