KOTA KINABALU: People in Sabah’s northern Kudat district are urged to take advantage of the MyLesen B2 (motorcycle) programme and get their motorcycle licence done for free.
Transport Minister Anthony Loke said this programme is to help low-income motorcyclists get their licences as well as to create awareness on the importance of road safety.
“This is also to address the issue of people riding around without their rider’s licence,” he said after officiating at the MyLesen B2 Programme 2024 for Kudat on Thursday (Jan 25).
A total of 40 series of the programme have been held so far and will continue to be expanded to other parts of the state, said Loke.
He said the MyLesen B2 programme for Kudat was approved on Jan 12, and those who are eligible should seize the opportunity.
A recipient, Masal Khan Azizahmad, 24, found out about the programme through social media platforms and said the initiative was very helpful to those who need it.
