Cops seize seven motorcycles for loud exhausts in Ampang


KUALA LUMPUR: Seven motorcycles were seized following complaints of loud exhausts in Taman Tasik Permai.

Ampang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Azam Ismail, in a statement on Saturday (Jan 27), said that a traffic operation was conducted there following complaints.

"The operation was a result of complaints by members of the public that state a group of youths have been riding their motorcycles dangerously and loudly till the early hours of the morning.

"A total of 43 people were checked throughout the operation on Jan 25," he said.

Police issued 31 summons, including for illegal modifications and riding without a license.

Seven bikes were also seized.

"The public are advised to obey the rules of the road. Always be aware of your children's activities," he said.
