Three killed in Kota Tinggi accident


KOTA TINGGI: Three men were killed in an accident involving two vehicles at KM48.8 Jalan Sungai Rengit-Kota Tinggi here.

Kota Tinggi OCPD Supt Hussin Zamora said police received reports on the incident at 7.25am on Monday (Jan 29).

“The vehicles are believed to have been travelling from Kota Tinggi towards Bandar Penawar.

“The first vehicle was driven by a 22-year-old man who had a 28-year-old passenger, while the second vehicle was driven by a 46-year-old man.

“All the victims suffered serious head injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene,” he said in a statement.

Supt Hussin added that the cause of the incident was still under investigation.

All of the bodies have been brought to the Hospital Kota Tinggi forensic unit for a post-mortem.
