Eco-friendly and sustainable living

Leong says the Group remains steadfast in its commitment to delivering innovative, quality and value-for-money developments

MAH Sing Group Bhd (Mah Sing) reaffirms its commitment to the Johor market, where its journey began 24 years ago with the launch of its first township in 2000.

The Group introduced the concept of gated and guarded living for link homes in Sri Pulai Perdana, Skudai, Johor Baru.

“This innovative approach was unheard of in Iskandar Malaysia,’’ said Mah Sing’s founder and managing director Tan Sri Leong Hoy Kum.

He said subsequently, Mah Sing expanded its footprint in Johor with strategic developments, including the launch of its industrial park named i-Parc in 2014, followed by its largest township, Meridin East in Johor Baru spanning 1,313 acres in 2016.

Leong added Mah Sing’s commitment to diversification and growth led to its foray into the hospitality sector in 2019 with the opening of Ramada by Wyndham in Johor Baru.

He described the venture into hospitality as a testament to Mah Sing’s ability to adapt to changing market dynamics and confidence in exploring new avenues.

The Group recently launched its new sales gallery, M Minori in Taman Austin Perdana, Johor Baru in November 2023.

This sets a new milestone for Mah Sing as it is the first M Series development in the southern region.

The Group’s M Series is known to be affordably priced, strategically located with excellent amenities and infrastructure without compromising on quality.

“This is truly a testament to the company’s dedication to meeting the evolving needs of the market,’’ said Leong.

Affordably priced starting from RM288,000, M Minori prioritises environmentally friendly and sustainable living as evidenced through its GreenRe Bronze certification.

In addition, M Minori is equipped with green features such as EV (charging stations, rainwater harvesting, automated waste collection system and biodegradable building materials.

“Mah Sing maintains a positive outlook on the Johor property market, attributing its confidence to the Group’s robust brand presence and recognition in the area,’’ he said.

Apart from that Leong said, the spill-over demand from neighbouring Singapore coupled with upcoming infrastructure projects like the Johor Baru-Singapore Rapid Transit System (RTS) Link is expected to enhance economic activities in Johor Baru.

He said adding on to that, the recent signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to develop the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone (SEZ) between Malaysia and Singapore is anticipated to stimulate economic activities, attracting more residents and investors to Johor.

“Moving forward, Mah Sing is set to strengthen its presence in Johor with more land acquisitions to develop residential, industrial and M Series projects,’’ said Leong.

He said the Group remains steadfast in its commitment to delivering innovative, quality and value-for-money developments that contribute to the growth and prosperity of Johor.
