Nothing more important than reunion dinner for CNY, says Dr Wee as he celebrates with Ayer Hitam community

PETALING JAYA: Nothing is more important that the reunion dinner with our family members when it comes to Chinese New Year, says Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong.

The MCA president said he had the privilege of celebrating the festive season with the Ayer Hitam community, including 135 leaders of Chinese non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and 350 MCA veterans and members.

"I expressed my sincere gratitude to the Ayer Hitam community for their unwavering support, which has allowed me to be elected Ayer Hitam MP five times.

"Not only that, they are also the ones who made sure Ling Tian Soon was elected Yong Peng assemblyman in the 2022 Johor state election," Dr Wee said in a Facebook post Sunday (Feb 4) night.

During the dinner, Dr Wee said he and Ling had taken the opportunity to share many developments that have taken shape in Yong Peng, and plans that are in the pipeline.

"Our team and Ayer Hitam MCA will continue to work for the interests of the people here. We look forward to working with these NGOs to ensure the welfare of the people is looked after.

"May the Year of the Dragon continue to gives us strength to achieve greater heights in the near future," Dr Wee added in his post.
