TAIWANESE singer Selina Jen (pic), who became a mother last year, is already planning to have a second baby, reported Sin Chew Daily.

The 42-year-old said she hoped to give her four-month-old boy a companion within the next two years.

Since the arrival of her newborn, Jen has been inundated with post-natal product endorsement deals and revealed that she had just finished filming an advertisement, with other deals still in the negotiation process.

Asked when she would return to the entertainment scene, the member of all-girl band S.H.E said her priority now was to recover from giving birth.

> The daily also reported that the late Australian actor Gregory Charles Rivers, who made a name in the Hong Kong TV industry, was a diehard dog lover. He also embarked on his dog-rescuing mission and had nine dogs, with some suffering from cancer, dementia and asthma.

It was reported that Rivers was once in debt to the tune of HK$800,000 (RM482,200) due to the canines’ medical bills and his own skin cancer treatment.

“As long as the dogs are breathing, I will not end their lives,” said Rivers, 58, who was found dead in his home on Feb 2.

Born in Gympie of Queensland in 1965, his love for Cantopop developed after he was introduced to it by his college friends from Hong Kong.

In 1988, he moved to Hong Kong in the hope of starting a career in entertainment. As he wished, he was picked for a Caucasian role in a TVB drama. He then adopted the Chinese name Ho Kwok-wing – a name derived from Rivers (which is pronounced as Ho in Cantonese) and his idol, the late Leslie Cheung Kwok-wing.> The daily also reported that Malaysian actress Lin Min-chen had been reminded to dumb down her Cantonese in her new film.Lin, who grew up in Johor, is said to have seen tremendous improvement in her Cantonese after spending several years in Hong Kong. While shooting Table for Six 2, film director Summy Chan had to repeatedly tell her to not speak so well to fit her Taiwanese model character.

Lin, 34, was a social media influencer before becoming a singer in 2015.
