Couple caught on camera trying to kick other bikers on Penang Bridge

BUKIT MERTAJAM: A couple has been detained by police after they were caught on video riding dangerously along the Penang Bridge on Monday (Feb 5).

Central Seberang Prai OCPD Asst Comm Helmi Aris said the motorcyclist, in his 50s, and his companion, in her 30s, were nabbed in George Town on Tuesday (Feb 6).

"Checks showed the couple had three past criminal cases in 2021 and 2023 but are not on the wanted list," he said.

The case is being investigated under Section 506 of the Penal Code and Section 42 of the Road Transport Act.

In the viral video, the duo can be seen riding dangerously and also attempting to kick other motorcyclists who overtook them.
