ACTOR Hafidz Roshdi’s ex-wife Nurul Shuhada Mat Shukri said she will not be looking to enter into another relationship anytime soon after claiming to have been traumatised by her marriage with the Malaysian actor, Harian Metro reported.
She said her two children have disallowed her from finding a new love so soon after their parents’ divorce in July 2023 following accusations that their father Hafidz had cheated on Nurul Shuhada and abused her.
“I admit that I’m still traumatised and scared after what happened to me and need time to heal. My children are also traumatised and won’t allow me to marry again as they don’t want me to risk making a wrong decision.“My focus now is to give happiness to my children and take care of their emotions as I don’t want them to grow up in a bad environment,” she said.
Hafidz and Nurul Shuhada tied the knot on April 30, 2016, and the couple were blessed with two children over their seven years of marriage.
However, their marriage ended on a sour note after Nurul Shuhada accused Hafidz of cheating on her with another woman earlier in 2023, which led to her filing for divorce on Feb 27. The divorce became official on July 27.
On March 13, Hafidz was also charged with intentionally injuring his wife by punching her left cheek three times, of which he pleaded not guilty during the ongoing trial.
> The Kedah Environment Department (DOE) has confirmed a potential fire hazard at the Bakar Arang Industrial Area in Sungai Petani after a massive pile of insulation waste was found at a factory, reported Berita Harian.
Its director Sharifah Zakiah Syed Sahab said the flammable waste was piled high in an area of approximately 669sq m inside the factory, which is believed to be both illegal and abandoned.
“The material involved is solid waste, and the DOE has informed local authorities as well as the Solid Waste Management and Public Cleaning Corporation (SWCorp) for further action.”
