Selangor cops find over 6kg of ganja in car, two arrested


PETALING JAYA: Over 6kg of ganja has been found by police during an inspection on a car in Jalan Kalumpang here.

Hulu Selangor OCPD Supt Ahmad Faizal Tahrim, in a statement on Thursday (Feb 8), said that the inspection was conducted on a car at around 8.20pm on Feb 7 after prior surveillance.

Two men aged 31 and 43 were arrested, and seven compressed packets of ganja seized.

The drugs, which weighed 6.28kg, are estimated to be worth RM22,000.

One of the two suspects had a prior record for narcotic offences.

"Urine tests conducted on both men were positive for ganja.

"They have been remanded for seven days until Feb 14," he said.
