One dead, four injured after 4WD plunges into Batang Kali gorge


PETALING JAYA: A woman died after her four-wheel drive (4WD) vehicle fell into a gorge in Batang Kali.

When contacted, Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar said the department was notified of the road accident at 6.28pm Sunday (Feb 11).

He said the operation chief at the location confirmed that a 4WD had fallen into a gorge with five passengers in it.

The fall killed a 58-year-old woman.

"Four more victims suffered injuries and are being treated," he said.
